The "tilcon" train to Rlystone is a booked 60 working due to the weight of the loaded train ( 2550 ton ). Although 66s do appear at times, here one passes Kirkstall loop as Mr Munden records the moment again.

The royal train visited Bradford on 25th May 2007 with the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh for an offical visit to West Yorkshire and the honor fell to me. 67005 passes Wellbeck near Normanton with the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh on board en-route Bradford for offical meetings. The train, most certainly the most important on the network, is kept in excellent condition even down to the silver buffers ! Notice how this experienced photographer has kept Emley Moor TV mast just visible in the shot ! Picture G Steel.

The last train i drove in 2003 was 37408 on the Arriva Settle Carlisle line. Arriva contracted EWS to provide a loco hauled train for 12 months over the line as well as trips to Knaresborough at peak times. 37408 was always a favourite machine for me from early days in Scotland. Its one of those locos that just is`nt happy unless it was been hammered. Most of us obliged ! We did give it some TLC later the following year....pictures to follow !
